The Quebec Sleep Research Network is pleased to offer a multitude of funding opportunities to its members to further its mission. You'll find more information about these opportunities below.
Initiatives that do not correspond to currently open competitions may be submitted directly to the Sleep Network. The submission must include:
- A project description (maximum 2 pages) explaining how it could have a structuring impact on the Sleep Network;
- A budget indicating the total cost and the portion requested from the Sleep Network (maximum 1 page).
All documents must be sent to info@reseausommeil.ca.
Proposals will be evaluated by the steering committee based on their potential structuring impact and the resources available for the current fiscal year.
Funding Opportunity - Knowledge Mobilization
The Sleep Network is pleased to announce the launch of a funding opportunity for knowledge mobilization projects! The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support, throughout the year and with monthly submissions, new knowledge mobilization initiatives that don't fit into typical calls for projects.

Closing date of the financing opportunity : Until the annual budget is exhausted
Masterclass Francophone 2026
Le Réseau CMDO et le Réseau sommeil, en partenariat avec l’association Ado-Somnie, a le plaisir d’offrir deux places présentielles ainsi que cinq places virtuelles au congrès Masterclass Francophone 2026: Sommeil, nutrition et obésité chez l’enfant et l’adolescent. Ce concours est ouvert aux personnes étudiantes (2e et 3e cycle, stagiaires postdoctoraux) ainsi qu’aux jeunes chercheur.se.s.

Internship Grants – 2026 – 2027
The Sleep Network is pleased to offer its first edition of the internship grants ! These internship grants are designed to foster the development of the next generation of researchers and to support students and postdoctoral fellows who will undertake an internship outside their laboratory in order to acquire skills and knowledge that complement their research training in the fields of sleep, circadian rhythms, and dreams. This edition of the internship grant competition will cover internships taking place between September 1, 2026, and August 31, 2027.

Travel Award - Winter 2026
The Sleep Network is pleased to offer its fourth travel award competition! The purpose of this competition is to support up-and-coming scientists and research staff in presenting their work at national and international conferences.

Scholarship and Fellowship Supplements - Winter 2026
The Sleep Network is proud to offer supplementary grants to support students and trainees who do not receive major scholarships from large funding organizations. It is not necessary to have already received a grant in order to submit a request for supplementary grant from the Sleep Network.

Call for pilot projects - 2026-2027
The Sleep Network is pleased to announce its second general call for pilot projects! The aim of this funding opportunity is to stimulate the emergence of promising projects based on solid scientific foundations, while promoting the next generation of researchers and the adoption of EDI principles. It is also a strategic lever for obtaining broader funding, particularly from major funding agencies.

Call for Pilot Projects – Sleep and Occupational Health and Safety
The Sleep Network is pleased to announce its first pilot project competition on occupational health and safety! This competition aims to encourage participatory research designs as well as knowledge transfer projects. It also supports intersectoral and interinstitutional projects, as well as those conducted in collaboration with partners and clinicians.

SomnoLaurea Award - Somnosciences Québec
The Sleep Network is proud to recognize the impact and hard work of its students. This award aims to reward the outstanding involvement of a student member of the Student Committee. Candidates are nominated by the directors of the Student Committee.

The Sleep Network is proud to recognize student excellence and innovation in research with the SomnoNova Award! This award recognizes a student who has published or submitted a scientific article as first author between April 1, 2024, and January 31, 2026.

The Sleep Network is proud to recognize and encourage student projects involving knowledge transfer and mobilization. This award aims to reward a student whose significant contribution has promoted the transfer and enhancement of knowledge in the field of sleep, circadian rhythms, and dreams.
