The Quebec Sleep Research Network is pleased to offer five summer webinars on analyzing sleep data using the Snooz toolbox. These webinars will be conducted in English only, but the Q&A sessions will be bilingual.

Learning objectives for Snooz Summer Webinar #4 :

1. Explain the theoretical and neurophysiological foundations of functional and directed connectivity and articulate how connectivity relates to brain communication across sleep stages and altered states ;
2. Select and implement appropriate connectivity metrics within the Snooz platform, understanding the assumptions and limitations of different approaches (e.g., phase-based, amplitude-based, directed measures) ;
3. Interpret connectivity results critically and rigorously, identifying potential confounds (e.g., volume conduction, referencing effects, filtering choices) and linking findings to meaningful scientific questions.

General learning objectives of the Snooz Summer Webinars :

1. Describe the architecture and scope of the Snooz platform, including how its modules support large-scale, reproducible sleep and EEG research ;
2. Apply Snooz tools to preprocess, analyze, and visualize sleep and neurophysiological data, using standardized and reproducible pipelines ;
3. Select appropriate analytic approaches for specific scientific questions in sleep and consciousness research ;
4. Critically evaluate the assumptions, strengths, and limitations of different analysis methods implemented in Snooz ;
5. Design scalable and transparent analysis workflows that facilitate collaboration, data sharing, and extension to new datasets or modalities.
