Mini-Retreat on Wearable Technologies For Sleep Monitoring
The Sleep Network invites you to the second edition of its Mini-Retreat on Wearable Technologies For Sleep Monitoring, which will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the amphitheater of the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal. This event is free of charge, but registration is required.To register, please click on the “Register” button at the top left.
This dynamic event will bring you together to discuss the latest innovations in ambulatory sleep monitoring, with presentations by experts and students, interactive activities, networking opportunities, and much more! The second edition of the mini-retreat will bring together students, clinicians, researchers, industry representatives, and funding agencies.

This event aims to :
• Explore advances in wearable technologies for sleep and health with international and emerging experts.
• Showcase the next generation of scientists through interactive student presentations.
• Promote exchanges between academic, clinical, and industrial circles through immersive networking activities.

Keynote lectures by renowned experts :
• The future of sleep medicine: From the laboratory to wearable technologies - Dr Manuel Schabus, University of Salzbourg
• Ultra-long sleep cycles : Results of a study using subcutaneous EEG - Dr Tamir AvigdoDuke University
Networking and collaboration opportunities
• Participate in themed tables at the immersive dinner “Test your wearable technology” and discuss wearable technologies with experts, peers, and industry representatives. You must specify whether you wish to participate in the immersive dinner when registering for the mini-retreat.
Exchange ideas with peers and share your thoughts on the “Wall of Futuristic Ideas.” Post your questions, hypotheses, or provocative ideas for the next edition of the mini-retreat on wearable technologies.
• Discover completed and ongoing research projects by students of the Sleep Network during the “My Super Tech Project!” presentations.
• Network with other mini-retreat participants at the closing reception.

Please note the Mini-Retreat participants who also wish to attend the Somnoclub of November 26 will be able to view Dr. Morin's presentation in the amphitheatre of the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It is important for these participants to also register to the Somnoclub and to provide their name and email address at the Mini-Retreat reception desk.
