Narcolepsy Day - Discover Your Own Rhythm
The Quebec Sleep Research Network is pleased to invite you to Narcolepsy Day - Discover Your Own Rhythm , a free day dedicated to people living with narcolepsy, their loved ones, and healthcare professionals involved in the management of narcolepsy. This event will take place on May 2, 2026, at the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec. Please note that this event is available in French only and that registration is required if you wish to attend.
Join us for a day filled with expert lectures, interactive sessions, and discussions led by patients, for patients. The goal of this event is to foster a sense of community among people living with narcolepsy, while encouraging dialogue between patients and clinicians to improve mutual understanding of narcolepsy.
IMPORTANT A meal will be provided to participants who register before April 24, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Participants registering after this deadline will have access to coffee breaks but will not receive dinner.
Highlights of the event
Informative presentations
Join us for three informative morning lectures to learn more about narcolepsy and various management strategies! We will also have the pleasure of hearing from Anne-Claude Foucault, Vice President of Fondation Sommeil, who will share her personal experience with narcolepsy. These presentations are designed to inform participants and provide input for the discussions that will take place in the afternoon.
Tips and advice for managing narcolepsy
Share your tips for managing your symptoms on a daily basis with other participants using the tips and advice bulletin board! Throughout Narcolepsy Day, participants will be invited to post their tips on a bulletin board located at the welcome desk. A quick tip-writing session will take place before lunch to encourage sharing among participants, and a review of the shared tips will be held at the end of the day.
Discussion tables on daily management of narcolepsy and talking about narcolepsy
Talk with other participants and share your experiences with managing and raising awareness about narcolepsy! During the discussion tables, we will invite Narcolepsy Day participants to talk with the others at their table about predetermined topics. Each table will receive questions on specific themes and will be encouraged to discuss and share their experiences with one another. A group debriefing on the discussions from each table will take place from 1:50 PM to 2:20 PM. We look forward to addressing the following topics: (1) How, when, and with whom should you talk about your narcolepsy? (2) How can you manage your narcolepsy in daily life as well as in specific contexts (work, school, parenting, etc.)?
Roundtable on the gaps to fill in narcolepsy
Join us for an interactive panel discussion on the unmet needs in the future of narcolepsy! We will conclude the day with a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Milan Nigam, which will address the needs of people living with narcolepsy, their loved ones, researchers, and clinicians. This panel discussion will include both the presenters and participants of the event to encourage dialogue and collaboration in the field of narcolepsy.
