Sleep Salon #1 Description : 

Patients with Alzheimer’s disease and animal models of the disease exhibit numerous modifications in wake-sleep architecture, sleep patterns, and electroencephalographic (EEG) activity during sleep. Surprisingly, the 3xTg mouse model has not been thoroughly characterized in terms of sleep phenotypes. This presentation will provide a detailed overview of sleep modifications in this model (architecture, spectral and aperiodic activity), as well as the associated transcriptomic signature across multiple brain regions. Additionally, the effects of a lipid metabolism-targeted treatment will be described.
