2025 Summer School

Sleep, technologies and artificial intelligence

The Quebec Sleep Research Network is inviting you to the second edition of its Summer School !

This event will be held at the Université de Montréal on May 28, 2025 and May 29, 2025. This year, we explore the relationship between sleep, technology and artificial intelligence.

The Summer School is aimed at students, researchers and professionals in the fields of AI, neuroscience, medicine, psychology and sleep research.

2025 Summer School Objectives

  • Exploring the scientific and technological knowledge surrounding sleep and AI: fostering a deeper understanding of AI and sleep to improve health and well-being.
  • Encouraging innovation in the study and management of sleep disorders: providing participants with new cutting-edge methodologies and concrete applications of AI for sleep disorders, ranging from predictive analysis to diagnostic automation.
  • Promoting academic and technological excellence in the sleep-IA interface: offering conferences and workshops led by renowned experts, highlighting Quebec and Canadian contributions in this rapidly evolving field.

Important Information

The Summer School will be preceded by two virtual conferences to introduce participants to the fields of sleep and artificial intelligence. These pre-recorded lectures will be made available online to registered participants one week before the Summer School.

Workshops

The workshops will offer to its participants an introduction to different analytical methods used in sleep research. Each workshop, lasting a maximum of 90 minutes, will be designed to enable hands-on exploration of the tools and methodologies used in sleep research.

Each workshop will be limited to 20 participants, to ensure optimum supervision. To take full advantage of the experience, participants will need to download the necessary documents and data beforehand, which will be sent to them before the start of the Summer School. They will also be required to bring a laptop configured to use the files provided. It is mandatory to confirm participation in the workshops when registering for the Summer School. For more information, please consult the program at the bottom of the page.

Meet the expert

During lunch on May 28 and 29, experts in sleep and AI will be on hand to talk with participants in a friendly, interactive setting. Each expert will be able to welcome up to 8 participants at his or her table. This event will provide an opportunity for enriching discussions on a wide range of topics, from advances in sleep and AI to career paths in these fields, current research projects and the challenges faced by the participants in their own career paths.

When registering for the Summer School, those wishing to take part in "Meet the expert" can indicate their experts in order of preference. Assignments will be made according to preferences and available places. For more information, please consult the program below.
